Andaz Maui Review + Misa Floral Dress

I’m home from 17 days in Hawaii!!  Really 16 days because you lose a day coming home.  Coming back to the east coast from Hawaii is crazy!  Our flight left Maui at 5:30 PM and by the time we landed in Charlotte at 10:45 AM, it was 4:45 AM in Hawaii.  So unless you can sleep on a plane (which neither of us can), you lose a night of sleep.  We got home at noon and went right to bed.  I have been feeling pretty good since, so here’s hoping the jet lag won’t be too bad. I wanted to tell you about our hotel in Maui because it was seriously incredible.  We stayed at the Andaz Maui at Wailea […]

Cuba: Our Itinerary + Restaurant Recs

One of the most frequent questions I have gotten about Cuba is, ‘What did you do there? Did you go to the beach?’ We stayed in the capital of Cuba, Havana.  Havana is on the water, but as far as I could tell, there is no beach there.  We did go to a beach one morning that was 30 minutes away, but you don’t go to Cuba to go to the beach (in my opinion).  Sure, there are some nice hotels and some beach-front resorts, but you should really go to Cuba to experience the culture, people, food and of course rum and cigars!  Here was our itinerary by day along with what we ate and how much it all […]
