A Weekend in Asheville, NC

One of the first trips Lance and I ever took together was to Asheville and we’ve been going back at least once a year ever since.  It is such a cool, laid back town with a lot to do.  There are great spas, tons of breweries, hiking, and the food is INCREDIBLE!  I’m going to round up what we did this time and give you a list of the places we know and love in Asheville. Where to stay: We have stayed all over Asheville.  Here are our favorite places. The Aloft We have stayed here a bunch and it’s a new, modern hotel in a great location.  It’s right between Wicked Weed and Cúrate, which are two of our […]

A Weekend in New York, New York

Happy Wednesday!  I just got back from NY and I am SO tired and SO happy to be home, but also had the BEST time!  I go every February (to buy Fall) and September (to buy Spring) for Boem.  This time, Lance and I decided to make a weekend out of it for fun before I had to go to work.  It is such a fun city and I feel lucky that I have the opportunity to go twice a year.  Here’s a little recap of what we did, where we ate, and what I wore.   Travel OOTD | Lunch at Speedy Romeo Tee (similar) | Pants (similar) | Sneaks | Duffle | Roller | Purse | Sunnies First, my […]

A Weekend in Washington, DC

Lance and I just spent a weekend in D.C. and everywhere we went was amazing, so I wanted to share it with you! We got in on Saturday afternoon and had lunch at Barcelona Wine Bar.  I LOVE Spanish food, so this spot was perfect.  Our goal was to sit outside, and they have a great patio…but it was also 80 degrees and sunny with low humidity, so that was everyone else’s goal, too!  We ended up sitting inside which was still nice because they have huge floor to ceiling windows.  The food and wine were both amazing, so I highly recommend this spot, especially if you like traditional Spanish tapas.  It’s a great place for a meal, but would […]

O’o Farm Maui Review

One of the most special things we did on Maui was a farm tour and luncheon at O’o Farm in upcountry Maui.  It was such a cool and unique experience and like nothing I have ever done before.  Just visiting upcountry Maui (with the misty cloud cover and cooler temps) is an experience in itself, and so different than most Hawaiian island experiences. O’o Farm is eight acres of farmland in upcountry Maui that is sustainably maintained and biodynamically cultivated.  The owners (who also own several local restaurants) are committed to providing quality, local produce for their Maui restaurants and delivering a true ‘farm-to-table’ experience.  O’o Farm grows coffee, fruit, lettuce, various vegetables, herbs, and flowers and supplies the local eateries Pacific’O, The Feast […]
