OOTDs

Happy Friday!  I got back from Napa Sunday night and MAN, this week has been a STRUGGLE.  I wasn’t feeling well my first few days back.  I’m sure it was partly all the wine I consumed/lack of sleep/jet lag, but I definitely had a cold/congestion thing going on as well (although Napa was totally worth it).  On top of that, Marley started peeing in the house a week ago, so I took her to the vet yesterday and it turns out her kidneys aren’t functioning properly.  The only solution was to leave her there for 2-4 days on a IV to see if they can normalize her kidney levels.  What a nightmare.  Leaving my 15 year old dog like that […]

A Weekend in Naples

Happy Monday!  Worst Monday of the year, am I right??  The Monday after the Superbowl is always so hard.  And let me tell you…I went from 30 days of vegan to EATING EVERYTHING for the past few days, so needless to say I feel pretty terrible.  Oh, and one night at dinner my girlfriend and I EACH had a bottle of rosé, so that happened.  It’s been fun, but it’s ending tomorrow!  I’m going back off cheese (for the most part), cutting back on wine again, and if you read my last vegan post (HERE), I’m cutting back on carbs and concentrating on whole foods.  I’ve GREATLY enjoyed my break, but I am looking forward to eating clean again! I […]

Our Trip to Iceland

I am SO excited to share our adventure in Iceland with you! Lance and I have traveled a ton, and I can honestly say that Iceland was like nowhere else we have ever been.  It truly is spectacular.  The people are friendly, the capital city Reykjavík is quaint, walkable, and adorable, the food is delicious, and the landscape of Iceland is like nothing I have ever seen.  I am SO glad that we went in the winter.  Even though the days are shorter, I loved that it snowed on and off the whole time we were there and everything was covered in a blanket of white.  They have 24 hours of daylight in the summer, so I would love to […]

A Weekend in Napa

Happy Friday! I am so excited to share with you my incredible weekend in the Napa Valley.  If you have never been out to Napa (and you like wine) move this trip up on your bucket list.  It makes a fun girls weekend, but if your significant other enjoys wine, it would make a great couple’s trip, too. We stayed at the Westin Verasa, which I loved.  It is convenient enough to walk to dinner in downtown Napa.  It has a great restaurant onsite where we had breakfast each day.  They have a Keurig in the room with coffee (a clutch feature when you’re in Napa).  They have a nice, roomy gym (that was almost empty).  The staff were all […]
