Stronger U Food Diary: Week 1

I can’t even tell you how many diets my mom has tried over the years, but I feel like every month or so for my entire life it was always something new.  You know how you always say you won’t turn out like your mom and then you do?  Well, this was one of those things.  I wasn’t going to always try new diets.  And then….I became adult, and (in this aspect) I became my mother. Target has a bunch of cute rugs right now; here are some of my favs!   My new hobby is doing puzzles.  I wanted a Christmas puzzle, so we started with that over the Holidays, and I loved it so much that we’re now on our third!  The 1000 piece puzzles by Charles […]

Help Me Reach My Goal!

If you read my New Year, New Goals post, you saw that one of my major New Year’s resolutions was to volunteer/give back more.  This coming week I have two things lined up, and for one of them I need YOUR help! Meet my friend Sherry. Sherry was diagnosed with Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer at the age of 33.  Five days later she was having a 7-hour surgery that included a full hysterectomy.  Following her surgery, Sherry endured 17 months of chemotherapy.  After chemo, she was cancer-free!  But 15 months later, Sherry heard the words you never want to hear: the cancer is back.  She had another surgery (liver resection and splenectomy) and is currently receiving 6 months of chemo. […]
