My Favorite Smoothie Recipe

Happy Tuesday (that feels like a Monday, right?!?)!  I don’t know about y’all, but I over-indulged a little this weekend!  Look, I’m all about balance.  It was a holiday weekend and Lance’s birthday, so I let myself drink some wine and eat some desserts.  And eat some Mexican food.  Haha.  If I have over-indulged, I make sure to get right back on it on Monday (or in this case Tuesday).  So I’m starting the week off sharing one of my favorite smoothie recipes.

1 packet Isagenix Vanilla Chai Dairy Free Protein Powder
1/2 cup Trader Joe’s Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1 scoop Catie’s Greens Powder
Dash of Pumpkin Pie Spice

Combine everything and blend (I use THIS immersion blender or the NutriBullet).

This protein powder is SO GOOD.  I prefer vegan protein powder over a whey; it is easier on my stomach.  I love the chai flavor of this one.  Trader Joe’s Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk is by far my favorite almond milk.  It’s super creamy.  By adding frozen fruit to my smoothie I can use less ice and get a better texture.  I use either frozen banana (which is the most creamy) or frozen blueberries.  If I want to have less carbs, this smoothie is great without the fruit.  Catie’s Greens has a great flavor.  I love that it’s gluten free, and I’m always looking to get more greens and nutrients.  And my secret ingredient is Pumpkin Pie Spice!  It gives a great depth of flavor.
