My Favorite Spring Sweater

Happy Friday!  Have you had a good week??  I was at market in Atlanta finishing up my fall buy.  I don’t know if I have mentioned it before, but I don’t love the styles coming out for fall.  I LOVE this spring, but fall is VERY 70’s (think rust, mustard, stripes, wide wale corduroy, etc.) and I’m not into it!  There are tons of cute sweaters though, so I’m excited about that.

I also learned that sticking to a diet while traveling is hard; WAY harder than I thought.  Next time I will be more prepared with snacks and food!  At market everyone is serving wine and cookies and snacks and margaritas and pasta, etc.  There is not much healthy food available in the mart, so it was a tough situation.  I went into it like…oh, I’ll eat whatever, but I ended up really hungry and not making the best choices.  BUT, as my coach from Stronger U said, it’s what you do the majority of the time that matters.  So I made better choices, drank A LOT less than I normally would, worked out while I was there, and I got right back on track as soon as I got home yesterday.  I had never been so happy to eat at home in my life!

Speaking of sweaters, I’m sharing my favorite one with you today!  You need this sweater.  I have probably worn it more than anything else in my closet this spring.  I wore it at market this week, and I kid you not, every showroom I went into someone asked about it or complimented it!  It’s lighter weight than it looks, so it’s perfect for early spring.  We have definitely had very erratic weather in Charlotte (like it was 70 degrees in February and then 34 degrees in April!), so it’s been great to have something to put on that doesn’t look too ‘wintery.’  I will say: this sweater shed a TON when I first tried it on (I was also wearing all black workout clothes).  But I loved it so much and wanted to make it work, so let me tell you what I did.  I brought it home and shook it out like CRAZY, and then I took a lint roller and rolled the entire sweater inside and out.  That helped a lot, and now that I have had it cleaned one time it doesn’t shed at all.  It comes in a few colors, and I love the black, too!  It’s also the perfect length to pair over a dress, and it can be worn on or off the shoulder.  I love the volume on the sleeves, too…SO cute!

Shop my full look below.  I’ll also link some of my favorite sweaters from the Shopbop sale (and these shorts, my FAVORITE shorts, are part of the sale!).  You can see the rest of my picks from the sale HERE.  The sale ends Saturday, so don’t miss out!  Also, I placed my order (well, one order, I’m still on the fence about a few things), and I’ll link those pieces below, too!
