My Guest Bedroom
Happy Friday babes! I wanted to share my guest room with you today. I love this room so much, it’s actually one of my favorite rooms in the house. Funny story: when we moved into this house, we got new master bedroom furniture and we moved our old furniture into the guest room. It was IKEA furniture, and I love IKEA, but this was the worst dark, fake wood (see HERE). So Lance (like most men I assume) is like, ‘we have bedroom furniture, we don’t need anything new for the guest bedroom.’ Eye roll. So I decided I was going to redo our guest room myself and on a budget. Let me show you what I did!
Wall and trim color | Benjamin Moore Decorator’s White
Blinds | Lucy & Company
Canopy Bed | Wayfair
Nightstands | West Elm
Task Lamps | Target
Mongolian Lamb Pillow | West Elm
Blanket | Anthropologie (ivory sold out)
Bedding | West Elm
Sunburst Mirrors | Urban Outfitters
Lavender Candle | Diptyque
White Lacquer Tissue Box Cover | The Container Store
Bench | Target (old)
Plant Basket | Target (old)
Cactus Art | Minted (not pictured)
So, redoing the whole room (I had the plain white bedding and mattress already) came in right around $1500. I know ‘budget’ means different things to different people, but for my champagne taste I feel like I did pretty good! I love how the room turned out and it’s one of the only rooms that’s going to stay exactly the same in the new house (don’t tell Lance).
My exact blanket is sold out, but Anthropologie always has some gorgeous throws. Here are my favorites right now:
Here are some other bench options that I’m loving. I have always loved this woven one from CB2.
They are now making it in black which is so pretty.
I love this wood/metal contrast.
I love the natural wood legs on this one.
I’m all about anything furry!
Here are some baskets options that would be perfect for a plant:
And the plant pictured is actually real, but probably won’t last too long. Here are a couple of my favorite faux plants!
Do you like it? I personally love the equation of all different shades of white and cream + lots of interesting textures + natural wood accents. So much so that it’s the decorating theme in the new house! Plus some pops of black and leather, too. Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
