Master Bedroom Tour
I wanted to give you a peek inside my master bedroom.
I love decorating SO much! I seriously want to redo my whole house. Not because I don’t love it, but because I just want the opportunity to do it all over again. We built our house in 2014 and doubled our square footage from our pervious house, so I was able to start from scratch with most of the rooms which was so fun. I had everything about halfway there and then hired Lucy & Company to finish it up and bring it all together.
I love our master bedroom. It turned out to be the exact serene sanctuary I was going for. I love that everything is some version of white or grey, but it’s anything but boring. The key to decorating in one color palette: mix the tones and add lots of texture. There are so many different tones of white, cream, and ivory in our master and it just works.
The days of buying a matching bedroom set are over. Mixing different pieces brings so much more interest to the space. I also love mixing high and low. Everything doesn’t have to be expensive. I splurged on this dresser because I fell in love with it, but I found these benches at Target (which I planned to be temporary, but they have stayed). I also used to buy expensive original art, but I have found that I tire of things and like to change it up, so spending less on wall art makes more sense for me. This piece is from Minted.com (linked below). Their photography and art print selection is INSANE! It’s also reasonable for large pieces of art… this piece is HUGE (54×40) and came framed.
